Director
I am an architect with 10+ years of experience, having graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1999 with first class honours.
Originally, I did a science degree majoring in environmental management before working in a number of construction related fields whilst sailing and traveling, before pursuing a degree in architecture. These include precast concrete construction, metalwork and landscaping.
This background knowledge has helped me to develop a keen interest in the areas of construction, detailing and sustainable design.
I also completed a certificate course in permaculture. Since then, this has informed my design decisions and the way I approach my design work.
These experiences have helped me to respond to the client needs using landscape as much as possible. It is important for the home to be viewed as an integrated living system; whether this is for energy conservation, water collection, food production and more.
In the later years of my degree I worked for Neville Gruzman followed by five years as a senior associate with Jorge Hrdina Architects on both public and residential projects.
In 2007, I formed my own design company, Archology, combining my interests towards sustainable design practices and projects.
I have been registered with the NSW Board of Architects since 2010.
I am married with one child and live in the Inner West community of Sydney.
