Established in 2007. Archology is a design driven practice that incorporates sustainability into all facets of the design process. We are part of a collaborative workshop environment that allow us to prototype and also have in house craftsman help build and project manage bespoke items within our projects.
Terry Bail, Barch ( Hons ) UNSW
I am an architect with over ten year’s experience, having graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1999 with first class honours.
Originally I did a science degree majoring in environmental management before working in a number of construction related fields whilst sailing and traveling including precast concrete construction, metalwork, landscaping before pursuing a degree in architecture.
This background knowledge has helped me to develop a keen interest in the areas of construction, detailing and Sustainable Design.
I also completed a certificate course in permaculture and since then this has informed my design decisions and the way I approach my design work.
This has helped me to respond to the client needs using landscape as much as possible to work with the house as an integrated living system whether this is for energy conservation, water collection and also food production.
In the later years of my degree I worked for Neville Gruzman followed by five years as a senior associate with Jorge Hrdina Architects on both public and residential projects.
In 2007 I formed my own design company Archology combining an interest in Sustainable Architecture projects targeting more sustainable outcomes.
I am registered with the NSW board of architects since 2010.
I am married with one child and live in the Inner West community of Sydney.
